Service Description
CLASS: Mavin will be conducting a 60 minute movement-based workshop with a focus on principles of intention and musicality. He will be drawing on some of the works he has created - both in his Bharatanatyam practice and in contemporary dance. The workshop will be followed by a 30 minute Q&A session. BIO: Mavin Khoo is internationally recognised as a dance artist, teacher, choreographer and scholar who has carved a niche for himself in the fields of Bharatanatyam as well as contemporary dance. As a young dancer, Khoo was described as “one of the UK’s most exciting dancers” (London Evening Standard). Today, Khoo maintains his touring work as a mature artist with a focus on solo Bharatanatyam performances and specifically commissioned contemporary duet works. He serves as Creative Associate to the Akram Khan Company in London.
