Service Description

CLASS: Release Technique, Improvisational Performance BIO: Dai Jian, Associate Professor, Master Instructor, Head of International Cooperation Project of the Department of Dance In 2004, Dai Jian graduated from the Department of Contemporary Dance in Beijing Dance Academy directed by Ms. Yang Meiqi. In the same year he was sponsored by America’s Asian Culture Foundation and American Dancing Festival and went to America for exchange visits. In the next year he joined Shen Wei Dance Arts, and guided the performance “picture scroll” for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games’ Opening Ceremony with Shen Wei. In 2009 he joined the Tris Brown Company led by American post-contemporary dance and visual arts master Tris Brown. In 2011 he was nominated by Tris Brown himself and won the Princess Grace Award. In 2012 he was invited to be the only choreographer for the specified repertoire of modern male solo dance in the Boston International Ballet Competition. After receiveing a degree of Master of Fine Arts in the United States Bennington College,2016, he founded and served as an artistic director of the MaiOui Danse Arts in Lyon.
